Because 0.2 *doesn't mean anything*. No, really. :)

Lukas has a *very* important set of patches to begin to fix Cycles on this
front. Once it is in trunk, we can collectively work toward fixing the
other nightmares that have existed for *a very long time* in the UI and
other areas of Blender. Curved, pickers, gradients (in color ramp EG) etc.

These issues became clear when Matt Ebb added in the beginning of CM way
back when.

Let's hope Lukas manages to get his critical patches into trunk soon.
