Agreed. This might be something that could be fit into a useful
tool-helper-panel.

Along these lines, there is also some low-hanging fruit with respect to
uv-paint and saving. For example, it currently lets you paint on contexts
(like generated images) which don't even support saving. It also lets you
paint when there is no save-location setup, and it lets you quit when there
are paint changes unsaved. I think it would be better behaved if it only
let you paint when there was a save-context setup, and it integrated with
the "prompt on quit" machinery to avoid letting you quit with uv-paint
changes unsaved / unpacked.
