Hi everyone,

WHAT I DID:
  - finished all of the plugin setup except what needs the new convert
code design.
  - researched and thought about how the new design of the convert
code should be.

Note concerning the above:

This project can roughly be divided into to big parts:
  1. creating the api
  2. reworking the current pipeline to be extensible via plugins

I've done a large part of the first one. I started with it because the
second is vaguely dependent on the first. Now it is much more
productive to get a large chunk of the second task done, so that I can
create good tests of the API. I've spent this week doing the ground
work for that. I don't have much to show for this yet, being a lot of
research and planning, but I will produce a design in the next couple
days, and put this forth for review.

NEXT WEEK:
  - design, have reviewed, and implement the rework of the convert
code to the extent useful at the moment: so that plugins that use the
API work in progress can be written.
  - design materials and textures

No problems currently.
