Hi Dalai!
No I have not ported anything from the blenderplayer code to the new
audio system, so the old stuff is still there, but it's mostly only
device stuff and only seems to be for (un)initialisation.
I guess the player has its own main function, so that's why it hast to
initialize the sound system, but I am not sure.
If you're trying to get the player running again, you can simply change
the (un)initialisation code to sound_init() and sound_exit() function
calls from BKE_sound.h, if you need other things, just ask.
I won't touch the player though, because I have no idea about it and
cannot test any changes.
