[Bf-taskforce25] Weird nasty 2.5 bug

The strange thing here is that I never got that bug before
aproximatively the 25th of june.
I always build in debug, and got that bug after an svn up and I did
not updated my system since may.

This make me think that the bug was introduced by a change in blender
code. (but can still be due to some X, mesa or driver issue)
The bad thing is that I have no idea on how to debug this as after the
crash I am unable to use gdb.
