Looking at all the stuff around blender and games it seems like python is a
big part of blender for keybindings and animations and things like that.
Keybindings aren't necessary for a runtime though, although it seems
animations would need to be reimplemented as well as some other things.
Can anyone on this list give me an extent of all the things that would
break if we built blender w/o python? Not that I'd use blender w/o python
but a runtime exporter doesn't need everything that the full editor needs.
I read this: http://www.atmind.nl/blender/mystery_ot_blend.html trying to
understand .blend files but if I could get some help understanding the
project then this might be something that can be done.
