Looks there's some working starting in the direction to fix problems with
FBX exporter for UE4 as
communicated here:
http://lists.blender.org/pipermail/bf-committers/2014-April/043418.html

and in the Epic Twitch from today :
https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?3911-New-UE4-Twitch-Tools-stream-on-May-1st-Blueprints-stream-on-May-8th

So i would like to help with some feedback on it.
i'm a subscriber of UE4 since the first month and i know that some guys are
working on FBX exporter today but maybe moguri
can make a better preset specifically to UE4. Some problems and suggestions
that i got using Blender with UE4 for the last 2 months:

Scale Problems:

When exporting a FBX to UE4 you have a 1 to 1 scale conversion. So a cube
with 1x1x1 BU will have
1x1x1 UU ( Unreal Unity) but when working with metric in blender ( The most
common usage of BU is
1BU = 1M ) or setting metrics in the Scene configs you will got a problem
cause 1UU = 1cm.

The solution is scale the object in the export configs to factor of 100.
But it looks to cause several
problems with animated objects (Skeleton Objects as named by UE4). Looks
that when you use a export factor
different than 1 it's applied only in the mesh not in the armatures or some
like that....

Batch Export:
We have in blender fbx exporter the option to Batch export separated files
per scene and per group but not per objects from this scene. why?

There's some others features that is available for Maya and/or 3DMax than
we don't have support like:
 - Export Force Fields for particles
https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Creating_Vector_Fields_(Tutorial)
 - Unreal Animation Tool
https://www.unrealengine.com/blog/animation-rigging-toolkit-in-ue4
 - Pivot Painter Tool
https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/Tools/PivotPainter/index.html

Good lucky with this project blender is very popular in UE4 community
already
Improving Blender for it usage will help a lot of indie developers.
