[Bf-funboard] Suggestion about checkboxes in menus

Thanks for your response Campbell. There's a kind of workaround for this in
Maya (qt), I'm thinking of pop-out menus :
http://i.stack.imgur.com/UCZel.png The small ribbon at the top makes the
menu pop out as a floating utility window. Obviously that suddenly becomes
very complicated and also gets in the way of the non-overlapping philosophy
(which is a slight bit adamant imho but that's a debate in itself). Why
does holding a modifier key seem like a weak solution ? Is it because it is
very hidden ?
