Dear Tobias,

I think your ideas concerning the first two points are good.
But the third point remains a problem:
Thanks to copyright issues I doubt, we will be able to copy things!

But the Blender Manual was released as CC0
https://creativecommons.org/choose/zero/
and many other sources were not, like wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights

So we either had to release the new manual as e.g. CC BY-SA 3.0,
or write almost everything again.

But don't let that stop you,
you idea is definitely worth evaluating!
