Hey,

Regarding the 301 redirects, I found some stuff that seems to suggest
that 301's will be good for redirecting:

http://www.hobo-web.co.uk/301-google-keep-rankings/
"It took about 2 days to actually see the old site disappear in Google
and for the redirect to take effect."

I am guessing that the 2 days is to make sure it wasn't an accidental 301.
