Hi Luca,

Thanks for that input. However, I am not sure if we have reached this phase
at all- We have seen some self-nominations so far.

At this stage, I expected a go-ahead by Ton, with some outlining of what we
were expected to do (scope of work, Do's and Don'ts, etc.).

I know the discussion somehow digressed into screenshots. But to start over,
can someone give a brief orientation to us volunteers (provided that we ARE
going ahead).

Sorry for repeating my earlier mail, but I do think that a little clarity
will help the new volunteers-

   1. How much freedom is given to the team?
      - Is this going to be strictly authoring exercise, or are we allowed
to review the suitability of platform (e.g. whether to use mediawiki)?
      - Are we allowed to review/edit the TOC for the User Manual?
      - Are we allowed to review/change the template for wiki?
   2. What are the constraints and scope of work?
      - What are the things that are already fixed; and so must not be
changed (e.g. wiki structure, authoring rules)
   3. People with defined authorities in specific areas.
(e.g. what the webmasters are authorized for)
   4. Existing resources: People who are already part of the team; and how
they would like to contribute (authoring, screenshots, illustrations,
   videos, etc.)
   5. People who are going to provide infrastructural support to the
coordination team (in setting up web pages, writing scripts, configuring
   modules)

Would that mean that we should wait till you give a go-ahead (in future)?
If so, what's the approximate time-frame when we will get a chance to
contribute?
I thought Ton called for a sprint on immediate basis, and looking forward to
it!

I though the sandbox restriction was revoked sometime ago?

Even if it wasn't, working without a sandbox would speed up things, and
there is no downside if we are supposed to work as a small dedicated team.

This again highlights the need for clarity about scope of work, constraints,
etc..

Thanks,
Narayan
