just to let you know I am working on this (still some scripts to check...)
I've submitted a patch here:

it is the first part of
***Replace python errors with useful messages***
***Without python installed, go through all the menu's and run each script.***

the patch fixes errors in the following menu entries (and replaces them with a PupMenu telling "This script requires a
full python installation")
