There are still issues with python in the linux release builds; simple
things like "import random" give errors:

Traceback (most recent call last):
   File "Text", line 1, in ?
   File "/usr/lib/python2.4/random.py", line 68, in ?
     import _random
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/_random.so: undefined
symbol: _PyArg_NoKeywords
