More like compiling it for official distribution, but if a new "build
environment" has to be done, then no doubt testing (from user POV)
will be required too. Compiling in different distros should work, the
issue is building so it works in others too.

And that is the reason the point above it was finding the already
tested build environment, to keep on with it.
