== What I did this week ==
This week I wrapped up my GSoC project.
* Commited Volume optimizations to master, after testing them again with
several test scenes. (5af00a3d12cb, 32a5313b4170, 6e5d188d17f2,

== Wrapping Up and Thanks==
GSoC was a great experience and a lot of fun again. Nevertheless it was
a challenge this year with ups and downs. Performance is a time
consuming thing and you often work on something, which then doesn't turn
out to be useful at all. Don't ask me how often I made Cycles slower in
my tests this summer. :P
* I want to thank my mentor Sergey, for help and guidance throughout the
summer, much appreciated. And it was fun to discuss and argue with you
about Cycles. :D
* Also thanks to Brecht, who helped me at the beginning of this years
GSoC, and gave me some great ideas beforehand on what I can work on. I
hope you have a lot of fun at Solid Angle! :)
* Thanks to Lukas, who helped me with the Equi-Angular optimization.
* Thanks to Ton and the Blender Institute/Foundation for accepting me as
a student for GSoC this year again!
Best regards,
Thomas
