Week 12
This week:
This week I cleaned up the drawing code for parallel snapping. Also have it
working for the case where geometry is snapping to itself as the reference
(pick) for parallel and planar snapping. Planar snapping picking is now
working correctly with simple display code. I've spent quite a bit of time
attempting to come up with a _flexible_ design for multi snap. I'm aiming
to make the options and combinations possible within the system apparent to
the ui and the user before they even commit to a snap. Part of that led to
a redesign of the way that face snap returns picked geometry after a
discussion with Martin yesterday. Having just started uni again this week,
I guess a week wasn't enough to get this working.

Next week:
After the discussion it's been decided that I should focus on getting what
I've already begun, tested by users, well documented and stable enough to
push to trunk before staring on the new pen tool. This project is by no
means finished and probably won't be by the end of GSoC, but thankfully
Martin has kindly offered to continue overseeing me as I work on it
afterwards, in the coming weeks and months. With snap combinations the
scope gets fairly large, but also exciting. With a solid design in place
working on this in the future should be a pleasure :-)
For those in Melbourne who maybe on this list reading; watch out for me at
the next Blender meet up this month, I'm hoping to have some cool
functionality with multi snap to show people.
