[Network] The point of 'Links'?

I agree with everything Jonathan said.

I personally think that a simply drop down box asking you to state your
relationship would be good.

Eg. *John Doe has requested you link to him as his "Freelance employer"*

Some other choices may be:

   - Freelance employee
   - Freelance employer
   - Personal friend
   - Employee
   - Employer
   - Project Collaborator

Then add others as people request them. (Employee/Employer roles could be
more complicated as it will need to switch to the opposite for the other
contact).

It would have to be made so that listing the type of relationship is
compulsory. Otherwise, as Jonathan said, it will just become another
worthless "Look how many friends I have!" type of social network.

Also, it would be nice to able to change to the relationships of people we
are already linked to now.

Just my thoughts.
