that post-it note is bad for both the design and the information flow.

I also think the images side-by-side should not be done, as it would
easyly disrupt the width of the page.

Suggestion: instead of doing the UM navigator on the top, you should do it
with  a top-rigth bar like in this wikiarticle about brazil, providing
more space than just the version of it, just like these two:
