I have added Matze's code to the CVS.   Both Matze's code and the
older code are currently in the 
CVS along with a README, which explains the current state of things.

The older original code will remain in the CVS.  I know that it works
and possible bugs will continue to be fixed.  However, development on
it has slowed.

Matze has been rapidly working on the new code, so it soon may
surpass the older code feature-wise.  In that case it may become 
the defacto version.
