[Bf-webcontent] "dotted semitransparent background image" in the header terribly slows my FF...

Hi,

following all the topic I started a few weeks ago (see below), which is 
now resolved for staging.blender.org, I just went to 
http://www.blendernetwork.org and noticed the exact same problem... I 
suddenly remebered that back in the days when blender network site was 
restyled, I already noticed this weird behaviour, but then... I forgot! 
Now I see the  "dotted semitransparent background image" also here 
bahind the site's top header, and I really suspect it's the same issue 
as it was on staging, which is now blazing fast to me...
