[Bf-viewport] Updates for the week of May 9th- May 16th

Hello devs,

This email is a couple of days late, but any interesting viewport updates
for the week of May 9th to May 16? Any plans for the upcoming week? I will
be aggregating information on the Viewport Reports wiki page[1].

I see that D1958 <http://developer.blender.org/D1958> was pushed to the
blender2.8 branch.
