The most common way is by using printf ordering -- see
http://www.gnu.org/software/gawk/manual/html_node/Printf-Ordering.html
. This is defined for (s/n/f)printf in IEEE Std 1003.1 and supported
in gcc, not sure if Visual Studio supports this.

As for fcurve names, "%s %s" could be translated as "%2$s %1$s". But
for this getname_anim_fcurve function should be rewritten.

Also some languages may want separation by
rna_ensure_property(prop)->subtype (RNA_property_array_item_char
function) for translation, rotation and color, e. g. "%2$s (along)
%1$c", "%2$s (around) %1$c" and "%2$s (...probably nothing for
color...) %1$c". In this case contexts come in handy.
