Hey,
i also agree on these points, it can be removed. This will help a lot 
with 2.5 it is the right time to do it.
Also Yafray can be removed as allready discussed, i think jesterKing 
wanted to delete it.

About the Render window topic:
I think we can get rid of the external render window, as we know in 2.4x.
In 2.5 it should open a new window too (if the user wants this), but not 
a specific one like in 2.4x, just open a normal image editor, where the 
image will be rendered.
In the current extra render window you are stuck, you can zoom, but 
thats all. If it is a normal image editor you have full acces to 
image/layer options and other things.
