Yes, this should dampen the scary feeling of using Blender for  
beginners, without making compromises on speed. Gives new users/ 
converts something to hold on to.

No, sorry, I wish that was possible! I'm just using a regular vector  
app. Ideally I should probably have used Inkscape or some such OSS  
app, but I'm not really good at it ;)
