Hmm, I must have confused the "B" names :)

For the rest of your message, that sounds like a good compromise
between tools/brushes to me. It seems like we maybe need a different
type of UI control for switching brushes? The dropdown list of brushes
is not very quick, and it's not tablet-friendly either.
