Hi,

As you know, this project was started to take care of scripts in
Blender: discuss guidelines, missing functionality that we should look
for, discuss which donated scripts we should propose for inclusion in
Blender, etc.

Better late than never ...

http://projects.blender.org/pipermail/bf-python/2004-August/001759.html

Months ago Matt Ebb (broken) suggested -- see above link -- a renaming
of the scripts groups as they appear in the "Group" line of each
script's header. Instead of Import, Export, Animation, etc. Quoting Matt:

"
What would seem to me as a logical and extensible formatting would be
something like "View3DFaceselSelect" (Window space -> Mode -> Menu), but
a) existing script Groups don't follow a system like that, and b) it's
going to look quite ugly in the Scripts window menu.
"

a) and b) are not problems, we can keep support for the old names
already used and use a second function to return names for menus in the
Scripts window (which, as Matt says, shouldn't have all groups anyway).

We should add new menus anyway. What do you guys think about the
convention suggested by Matt? Any other suggestion? Guess I need more
examples, like how would "Import" and "Export" be, Matt? One thing is
that if there's such a change in Blender that windows get renamed or
removed, menus change place, etc., this convention is too integrated and
would become outdated. Maybe having shorter names like FaceselSelect
would be better.

Opinions? It would be good to have new menus, like Render, Facesel,
etc. before the next release. Also a better place for the themes scripts.
