Personally, again as someone who just wants to 'get stuff done', I'd  
very much love to not have to type those 'import blah' lines every  
time I want to do the simplest thing :) I've used scripting languages  
in a number of other programs, and *none* of them make you use  
boilerplate like that, you can always just get started straight away.  
Heck, in most 3D apps like Max, Maya, XSI, you can just drag and drop  
lines of script straight from the command log to a script editor (or  
to a toolbar button), and execute them straight away.
