Just an update for anyone who's interested, I tried exporting 3D
curves from both Maya and Max today to FBX, and neither seemed to
support it. It exported an object node, but no curve data. So even if
the FBX spec is supposed to support curves, it's no good to me anyway,
since the two major apps that use FBX don't support it themselves
anyway.
