Hmm, this does not work. All curves are still the same object.

That's not important. The crucial thing is to have what's originally
on separate layers to still be on separate layers.

It's a bug, right?;). Since the curves are all imported as one object,
it's very hard to separate the curves if they stick to one another. I
got about 100 curves in the project.
