[Bf-python] Old armature api

I am concerned that there are script writers out there that are
developing things for the old armature api. It's gone in the cvs.
Should we resurrect the old api as a deprecated module? Such as
OArmature? Or Armature.Old?
I am worried that this is going to cause a general problem. I read of
people developing exporters. Sure the api is broken but it does work for
some things. 
What say you?
