Hi Jonathan, yes it's exactly for these sort of things. Ton wasn't 
against scripts drawing to spaces other than the Scripts win. He just 
wanted it done properly, following Blender's ways.  So he suggested this 
approach and it should be well supported from now on.

Not yet, I'll try to get something simple done.  But surely other script 
writers can come up with great uses soon, it's easy to adapt old scripts 
already doing this to the new system.  DRAW handlers can simply draw 
what they need, using Window functions to check available space, etc.
