Hi all,

This email is to start discussions for the new group responsible for
managing scripts officially packaged with Blender. I've talked with
some people already, both Blender coders related to BPython and also a
few script coders.

I had the chance to talk with and got confirmation from: Martin Poirier
(theeth), Matt Ebb (broken), Nathan Letwory (jesterKing), Stephen Swaney
(stivs), Jean-Michel Soler (jms), Manuel Bastioni, Kent Mein, Campbell
Barton and Jiri Hnidek. Jean-Luc Peurière (lukep) also showed interest
and, of course, we expect and invite you all to jump in.

The current group already covers basic needs like: coders with good
knowledge about Blender code and principles, BF resources, C, (B)Python
and the scripts "scene", UI and access to multiple supported platforms
for testing.

** The first thing to discuss is how/where the group members will
communicate. Next comes a place where script authors can post their
updated scripts or new contributions.

Available resources we can use include mailing list, Python forum at
blender.org and elysiun.com, wiki as Nathan suggested today and project
at projects.blender.org.

Manuel pointed he prefers to use a mailing list for discussions. I
agree and others have also mentioned they prefer mailing lists, question
then is: bf-python or should we create a new one specifically for this?
