[Bf-python] Common python modules available in blender

It seems that some artists fear the additional installation of python. For 
this reason, some of the common python modules seem to be bundled with 
blender, at least on the windows platform. Is there any official statement 
about the python modules that are assured to be importable on all supported 
platforms? If so, it would be nice to add this list to the API documentation, 
e.g. blender/source/blender/python/api2_2x/doc/API_intro.py.
