Normally, I would not quibble over English vs American spelling.
However, unlike color/colour, the Meriam-Webster dictionary
does not show 'locale' as the English variant of 'local'.

Both Meriam-Webster and the Cambridge Online dictionaries
show 'locale' as being a completely different word from 'local'
although they do share a common root.  This is in agreement
with the usage in the docs for Bone.getRestMatrix().

Also, 'locale' has a well-defined meaning when it comes to
internationalization and programming.

This more than suggests that 'local' is the correct word.
