[Bf-python] Is this possible?

Hi,
Thanks for all the good work. Spe now runs smoothly
inside Blender on Linux.  I have the following
question. When Blender runs spe or any other python
script, it is blocked from any user input.  A lot of
spe users ask me if it is possible to have spe run
inside Blender (otherwise it is impossible to acces
the blender python objects) and at the same time to
interact with Blender.  Now I have a timer in spe
which refreshes the Blender screen from time to time
to prevent it from getting black. But the possibility
of having spe and blender side by side allowing user
interaction with both would be a great feature (maybe
with threads). Please let me know,
