[Bf-python] Mesh vs NMesh?

There's a lot of discussion of the Mesh and NMesh modules.  What exactly
is the difference?  Some people claim the NMesh module is going away
immenently, others claim it is here to stay.  Don't they do the same
thing?  Are they two different interfaces to the same functionality?  Why
are they different?  Which one should I use?  I am very confused!

As I said in a previous mail, I would much rather see a single, messy API
that exposes as much of Blender's internals than a woefully incomplete,
terribly limited API that attempts to be "user friendly".  Having multiple
ways to do the same thing is the worst of both worlds...
