Sorry, not trying to be hard. I hear you! The problem is that finding
a dev that will do the work in hard. They all have their own projects.
The best way to get something like this done is to do it in python
yourself and then, if people like it, you might get a dev to write it
into the c code. On the other hand, you might just be lucky or find
enough support to get something done.

I have been here a long time and have given a lot of ideas out. I only
once got one implemented (grease pen) and that was because I said
something about my film group needing it in the Dev IRC channel. Some
dev saw my idea, liked it, interrogated me about and then wrote up
something that did what I wanted but was WAY better.

BTW don't get discouraged. Sometimes it work out. Another way is to
offer cash to a dev.

Also doing it in python is not that hard and you will find a lot of
people willing to help you do it.

Good luck. I really like the ideas. I do a lot of spaceship modeling.
