totally agree - blender seems to have an especially difficult time in
deciding what is a good pop up confirmation and what is a bad one.

sane rules of thumbs that are followed by other apps are:

- if i can UNDO it, DON'T ASK!  for the love of god, why?
- when you exit the program, ALWAYS ASK.  i mean who needs to dump the app
post haste?  are they animating porn?   why do you need to eject from app
as if from a crashing jet fighter??? if someone wants to quit, just ask.

very simple principles that everyone seems to know by default but seems to
have a hard time getting implemented in blender.
