[Bf-funboard] Scaling of "Custom Shape"-Bones

Hi all,

i just had a thought about the "Custom Shape"-display feature fro bones. I think the displayed mesh instance is scaled by the bone's length, but i can imagine cases where you instead want no scaling, or only scaling on one axis.

Say you want certain bones to have a cube shape. On short bones the cube will be very small and on a long bone very big. What i did in the past was duplicating the cube mesh and scale the vertices, so that the cubes look about the same size on the bones in the end. Instead, it would be nice to have a "No scale"-Option.

Aditionally it might make sense to have it scaled only on one axis, so that the end result will resemble the volume of the bone. Just like the "B-Bone" display type.

What do you think?

Regards,
Loolarge / Ivo
