Hair: How would you be able to create realistic hair with a texture anyway?
       As far as basic hair appearance goes, that can be achieved with the
       current material system quite well.

Fur:  Same applies

Grass: Same here, too.

Cloth: Can be achieved very easily using the current material system

Displacement can already be customized both for bumpmapping and for
displacement mapping.

Where is the problem?
