That works by pressing CTRL-NUMPAD0 on the corresponding camera, and the
frames can be set in the scene buttons. I guess I don't understand :)

Do you mean seperate cameras per set of frames? Can be done very easily
and automatically using linked scenes with "Set" option and scene strips.
