[Bf-docboard] Wiki spam

Hi,
I've implemented a simple anti-spam system. When users come over a spam
contribution, they should replace its contents with the tag {{spam}}
(including the curly brackets). The user who submitted the spam can
optionally have the tag {{spammer} placed on his/her user page.

That way, two things will happen:
1. The page content is replaced with a spam/spammer warning.
2. The page is automatically added to Category:Spam, i.e.
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Category:Spam

From that point on, it ought to simplify spam removal for
administrators. Since the Blender wiki is a relatively high priority
target (several million page views, good Alexa ranking), it's important
spam content be replaced with the tag as soon as it appears, as not to
encourage further spamming.

However, it seems to me that the spammers who register new one-pony
accounts actively circumvent the registration process, as I can't find
them in the user registration log. Can anyone confirm this is the case?

Also: What's the best way to get legitimate users to tag spam pages?
Would an announcement on Blender Artists do any good?

Cheers,
André
