[Bf-docboard] Couple of things

Hi authors,

Just a couple of things I would like to bring up.

1) The Blender could really use the funding generated by highly
accelerated book sales. There's a lot of people in the community that
have copies of the book and have read it, used it, and either loved it or
hated it. I propose that that we gather some information from the
community: what they like about the book, what they dislike about the
book, and what they hate, in the form of surveys, open forums, etc. With
independent feedback, those making decisions on book structure and style
will have a better place to start and the quality of the book should
improve, spawning extra book sales and more efficient community learning
which brings more people to the community which spawns more book sales....
What is your opinion on actively pursuing community feedback and if you
believe we should, what channels should we seek it through.

2) Some of you may be familiar with the Noob to Pro book over at
wikibooks. Myself and some of the other authors are thinking about
starting up a seperate but similar project at wiki.blender.org. We have
not, however, been able to think of a good name for this style of a book.
"Blender 3D: Noob to Pro" is, IMHO, a great name (although I'm probably
biased) that suggests a laid-back and fun approach to learning the
Blender. Is there anyone out there that has any suggestions for fun book
names? My creative wells have run dry.

Thanks,

David Millet
