I don't think there's any difference in the effects described. I'm no 
expert on these blender functions, but a falling object will undergo 
upward forces due to the friction of the air surrounding it. In a way, 
this is the same thing as a wind coming from below. Maybe this should be 
spelled out a bit more in the docs.
