I would be very interested in putting your videos on the CD ISO. Please
email me off list.

list

Hello all,
I would like to respond to Bart and Man0 regarding tutorial Guide concept
and the curriculum ManO plans for High School Students.

I am teaching Blender at a local Community College this fall. I have already
had two semesters of classes which has taught me a great deal about how
people pick up Blender at differing rates. I made some movies with
cam-studio which were very well received by the students. I am interested
in making more of these and I believe thorax has made a couple as well. I
may not have much time to dive into helping with the tutorial guide but I
would like to produce more of these short videos and offer them freely to
the Blender community. Perhaps they could be added to a disk or placed
somewhere at blender.org

Suggestions on the best format would be welcome. I am sure you are all
familiar with what is going on at 3dbuzz.com. I would like to have something
similar to the VTM's (Video training Modules) for blender and I am will
probably produce them for my students any way.

Would there be room at blender.org or Blender3d.com to host such a thing?

Here are some samples
 - http://home.att.net\~cs221\bTV-Navigating-Buttons.zip (zipped DivX 5,
uses a split screen approach showing command window. Approx 5 MB

 - http://home.att.net/~cs221b/bTV-Keyframe-part1.avi (MS MPEG4 - This is
not streaming - would be best to download first. Approx 10 MB

I would like to standardize the format and a use a common title slide.
Also, I could use help on the License. Would like to do distribute freely,
do not sell. What would I use for that?

YAHOO!

I've broken my last record, one (not 100% time) morning for a WML -> XML =
script
which works!

I updated the 'Mesh Editing' section of the New Blender Guide from
Old Blender 2.0 guide :)

Only manual stuff to make:

1 - Copy the XML and Pate it in the pertinent place
2 - Manually adding the section label

It compiles smoothly on my system.

I'll take a look on how I can se ta beytter warning (big *red* letters)

I'll mail the script for those who want to make the translations with me
later on today

Stefano

Jay! Excellent! Is it clear into which sections we can move the 2.0 guide
content, or should we have some discussion about that?

Of course I am surely interested in your script as I am the guilty
person who used WML in the hurry of writing the 2.0 guide ;-)

Guilty? WML is so _easier_ than HTML to parse, no tables, no styles, nothing
than plain and (well structured) text data :)

I just want to let the script write a better warning in translated material,
and I'll post it.

Hi,

I don't know them, but would be interested to learn more about the
topic.

The Foundation itself has a partnership with NoStarch publishing in SF,
they'll pay a nice royalty for books with 'official blah' mentioned on
it, and are positive to work within the Open Content limitations.
Together we've targeted a complete new full printed guide this year...
but you know with targets; managers easily decide, and then find the
victims to do it!

Hi :)
It is not a directory but a file issue,

many files are -rw-r--r-- by bart or me, so that
I cannot update those of bart (and I'd bet he cannot update mine)

Must be something with the default permissions from scp

a -rw-rw-r-- would be better, since we are all in the dame group

Thanx

Stefano

Hi,

Ugh! I better leave that to a real sysadm like Bart. It seems you can
set default permissions for files added... in a .cshrc or .login,
whatever!
