Hey Kevin,

You can simply download the publisher 2.25 version of Blender for your
platform it doesn't need creator (publisher basicly is created with the
added publishing functionality).
Blender still isn't easy to compile on all platforms but alot of progress
has already been made so it shouldn't take too long untill the blender cvs
will build nicely on all supported platforms. Documentation on how to
compile blender will surely be available at that time. For now the best
place to get help on compiling blender is the forum at blender.org.
