Hi Dave,

I agree. The cause for this is that we're still waiting for a stable
autoconf version of Blender. Once that is ready, installing Blender will
be as easy as running ./configure, make and make install. I'm not
familiar with the current installation process (it seems to change quite
often) so I can't judge if we should add your notes to the current
Manual that this group is working on.

What do you think guys? If we do add it, who will volunteer to verify
these steps and convert them to DocBook?
