[Bf-cycles] Building BVH using GPU

Cycles is awesome in terms of ray tracing speed. However, the BVH building process can take quite a bit of time for complicated scenes. I googled and found that in 2012 BVH building speed was improved by 5x to 10x by multi-threading. I am wondering if it is possible to move BVH building to GPU and speed it up even more or if there is a barrier for doing so.
