[Bf-committers] Layers for Images, third phase is completed!!

Hello to everyone,
I wanted to report the completion of the third phase of the project on the
management of the layers in Blender.

The fourth phase will be dedicated to the import and export with the most
common formats: ora, xcf, ...
and to improve the integration of layers with the other parts of Blender:
Node Editor (Not Complete), Texture Paint, Texture Properties, etc.

Also, I want to examine the possibility of integrating the first three steps
in blender, without waiting for the final completion.
As the project is now fairly complete and stable.
What do you think?
What needs to be improved to insert it into the official release?
