[Bf-committers] Background gradient for 3D viewport

Hey guys,

I know user interface not my area of code but seeing the recent
commits on background alpha reminded me I wanted to do this and showed
where the code could be found :). I thought since 2.66 is a bit UI
eye-candy oriented it would be quite cool to have this feature too.
Anyways, the code is at

I don't know how this works in other programs. I guess one could make
it work taking scene zenith/nadir directions and blending colour
accordingly. For my test case I only did a static gradient scheme.
